With the growing number of Social Web applications in the enterprise (blogs, wikis, microblogging, etc.), it becomes difficult for knowledge workers to avoid content overload and to quickly identify relevant people, communities and information. Yet, the recent integration of Semantic Web technologies in the workplace provides means to publish meaningful and structured data in these environments, while at the same time enabling data integration between distributed components. While both are relevant to solve the aforementioned issues, they are still under-estimated so far. Hence, the ADVANSSE project will focus on (1) extending data integration techniques for enabling real-time integration of structured data between organisations and (2) delivering new methods for Social Network analysis and recommendations in corporate online communities. Combined together, these two steps will deliver knowledge workers with means to access people, communities and information more efficiently in the Social Semantic Enterprise
